Leicester taxi drivers tonight held the first of their three 'go-slow' rush hour protests against city council plans for a new disciplinary regime for the trade.
Around 200 drivers snaked slowly from the city boundary near Leicester Race Course, down London Road, past the rail station, onto the ring road and then into the city centre as long queues of vehicles built up behind them.
There was also considerable disruption to bus services affected by the congestion.
