A benefits cheat has been ordered to repay nearly £8,000 after pleading guilty to charges of dishonesty.
Christopher Phipps (56), of Rosebank Road in Countesthorpe, had received nearly £7,870 in housing benefit and local council tax reduction between February 2013 and January 2015 while not declaring the income he was earning at the same time.
An investigation was carried by Blaby District Council investigators after a routine data match was carried out.
