A woman in her 70s was left lying on a pavement for nearly three hours after falling because there were no ambulances available to come to her aid.
The woman, who does not want to be named, was with a friend when she fell near the Leicester Mercury's offices in St George Street, Leicester, at about 1pm today.
She found she could not move after hurting her back and hitting her head as she fell.
Passers-by stopped to help the woman, and one called for an ambulance, but was told it was not...
