Mick Creedon was a Leicestershire Constabulary detective sergeant who investigated Lord Janner in early 1990s.
He is now chief constable of Derbyshire Constabulary and today responded to Sir Richard Henriques' report.
Mr Creedon, and his now retired colleague former Detective Inspector Kelvin Ashby, worked on the case of serial abuser Frank Beck becoming aware of allegations against the Labour MP who was subsequently interviewed.
