Leicestershire County Council has been named the most gay-friendly local authority to work in the country.
Campaign group Stonewall has published its 2016 Top 100 Employers Index and County Hall has ranked seventh - up from 17 last year.
Andrew Murphy is chairman of the council's Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual and Transgender (LBGT) workers group and a team manager in County Hall's learning development department.
