Parts of Leicester city centre were plunged into darkness by a power cut earlier today.The electricity cut out at 4.10pm along Gallowtree Gate, Humberstone Gate, Halford Street and Granby Street and remained off for up to 90 minutes for some shops and businesses.Hundreds of shoppers and workers had to leave stores like Marks and Spencers, Game, BHS, Super Drug and New Look as staff hurried to clear the gloomy shops.More than 30 banks, cafes, bars and restaurants were also affected with customers...
