A man is seriously ill in hospital after he was stabbed this morning.
The 25-year-old was injured during a confrontation with another man in Parvian Road, Wigston at 10.15am.
He was taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary for treatment to stab wounds. His condition is described as serious.
A 47-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Roads in the immediate vicinity were closed briefly while officers dealt with the incident.
