A home in Barrow upon Soar was badly damaged after fire started in a bedroom.
The blaze was reported in the detached home in Melton Road at 5am today and crews from Loughborough and Birstall were sent to the scene.
They had the blaze out within about half an hour but remained on the scene damping down and ensuring the fire was out for several hours.
