The family of a 10-year-old boy who has been waiting nearly eight years for a kidney transplant is backing a new campaign to get more people on the organ donor register.
Matthew Pietrzyk, from Glenfield, is one of 138 people waiting to have a transplant.
NHS Blood and Transplant is hoping the launch of a new campaign today will persuade more people to join the register.
