More than 1,600 of the lowest-paid council employees and school staff in Leicester are to get a pay rise from the start of next month.
The city council is to adopt the increased pay level of the so-called Living Wage, which increases hourly pay of affected staff from £7.85 to £8.25 after a re-calculation of the figure.
