A huge gantry with a "Happy Diwali" sign has been put up where the Belgrave Fly-over once stood.
The ten metre wide sign has been suspended over a footpath at the southern end of Leicester's Belgrave Road as a gateway to the golden Mile ahead of the religious celebration next month.
The path runs across the roundabout freed from the shadow of the demolished concrete structure.
The gantry is illuminated with hundreds of twinkling lights.
