Specialist doctors and nurses from a "super surgery" based in Northampton are to staff the urgent care centre at Leicester Royal Infirmary.
Bosses at Leicester's hospitals have appointed the Lakeside Healthcare Group to provide the new service, initially for a year, from Tuesday, November 3, hoping it will be better for patients and reduce the pressure on the A&E department.
