A police officer's campaign to recruit thousands of new people to a life-saving stem cell database has been launched today.Inspector Rik Basra, who beat leukaemia after a search for a matching donor ended in success in December 2011, hopes to recruit thousands of people for the national database run by the Anthony Nolan charity.The database matches potential stem cell donors with people who have the blood cancer.Organisations across Leicestershire, including our major sports clubs and companies,...
