De Montfort University spent more than £7,500 sending a 40- strong delegation to Downing Street to honour David Cameron for his work in support of gay marriage.Earlier this month DMU declared the Prime Minister a Companion of the University for his work to introduce the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Act.The DMU delegation travelled down to the Prime Minister's residence to hold a ceremony conferring the honour.It included 10 students and 20 members of staff and 10 guests.The Mercury asked...
